I am originally from Tennessee; I have been around music my entire life. I lived in Tennessee my entire life but I moved to Atlanta with hopes of pursuing a career in the entertainment industry, whether it be through music or acting, or both. I have been in Modeling and Acting from the past 6 years, and decided I would move to Atlanta, because there is not very much opportunity for that field in Tennessee. Since I moved to Atlanta, I have signed with a record Label and have already had much experience and had the opportunity to train and Jan Smith Studios of Atlanta.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
First, I will see what you know so far, and what your skill level is at the time. If the skill level is still new, and little to no experience then we will discuss a good place to start. Next we will find out exactly where the students sees themselves with this skill in the future and how far they would like to go with this skill, and why they are wishing to learn. Lastly, we will discuss the steps we will take to get you where you wish to be with this talent.
Formal Education:
High School: HS Diploma from Campbell County Comprehensive High School College: BA in Theatre from the University of Tennessee
Performing Experience:
I was a performer in my high school marching band from 2008 to 2011. After High School, I auditioned to be a percussionist in the Pride of the Southland Marching Band at the University of Tennessee. I was a part of the University's band for 4 years from 2, and had the opportunity to perform in front of 102,000 people numerous times while a part of this organization. I also played drum set for my high school's jazz band throughout all my high school career. As well I was a member of the concert band and went on to perform in the University of Tennessee's concert band as well. I have performed in church while playing a percussion instrument. I was also a server at a restaurant called Rickard Ridge Barbecue where I would play the spoons with on of the restaurants bluegrass bands. Although, I did not perform with a percussion instrument, I was cast in The Clarence Brown Theatre's production of South Pacific where I had two solo features. Lastly, I have performed in church vocally and with percussion instruments.
Experience Teaching:
I was the drum instructor for Campbell County High School's Marching band for four years from 2. I have also give some drum set lessons to friends and family.

Kirk in an incredibly talented musician. His teaching is also above par! Because of his skill, love for music, and a passion to help kids learn, I have entrusted my entire percussion section of my marching band to Kirk for the last three years. He has also been a huge part of the band's recruitment for the past five years. His experiences with the Pride of the Southland marching band make him shine!
