The best things in life you really have to work for. The best gifts are given by grace alone. Playing guitar for 3 or 4 decades has been a constant reminder that there is a God. I appreciate the art forms and I love creating and performing. Music is truly a universal language. Meeting so many people over the years through playing music has just been a true blessing.
Bob Re. has over 40 years of music experience in the Concord area.
Bob Re. is proficient in and teaches Record Engineer Produce .Formal Education:
I started playing guitar when I was about 4 years old. Thanks Mom for doing that. At age nine my parents bought my brother and I a couple of electric guitars for Christmas. I just fell in love with those guitars. I ended up buying my brothers guitar from him and kept it for another 10 years. After playing and singing for my class in 4th grade and then being asked to play and sing in another class that afternoon, I knew I found my calling.
Being self-taught was good for ear training. I learned to listen carefully to extract sounds from pieces of music and worked hard to recreate the original feel and tone of the music. I just love everything about music and how it makes others feel.
At age 9-10 I also fell in love with recording sound. I think the first recording was of a Star Trek episode mic'd directly from the Television set in our living room. I thought I was King of the world over that. I still love expanding and learning new ideas and techniques. After owning hundreds of guitars and recording hundred of hours of different types of music the thrill is still growing.
Performing Experience:
Over the years I have played with many talented musicians. Here are a few names: Count Basie Orchestra, Nicole Nordman, Fernando Ortega, Dennis Agajanian, Darrell Mansfield, Two or More, Rebecca St. James, Precognition, Doyle Dykes, Calvary Chapel Chino Valley Worship team, Calvary Chapel Albuquerque Worship Team, Crystal Lewis, Tony Login, Thats all I rmrmber for now... I always look for the next opportunity to perform. So stay in touch and please do not be a stranger! The Shelley Barratt band is who I play guitars for right now. We finally have a new drummer, Joe Spiess, and a new bass player Jonathon McMillan. We are ready to go out and play now, Really! Good music brings people together for a perfect reason.
