My name is Alex and I am in a national touring rock band. I attended The School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati,Ohio and specialized in the field of Jazz Studies for 4 Years. I then went on to attend CCM(College Conservatory of Music) for Jazz Studies and Composition. I play freelance jazz gigs while I am not touring, and I have traveled and toured with some of the words biggest rock/metal bands. I was pronounced gifted in the field of music in 2002 and surpassed the requirements of over 1000 students to receive this award. I have had 4 songs in national radio rotation, and I have an extensive knowledge of theory, sight reading, structure and most importantly how to actually incorporate into playing.

I have taught on and off for the past 5 years. I enjoy helping people grow as musicians, I have developed my own method of teaching in a way that is easier for students to remember and it doesn't necessarily feel like an "educational" lesson.
