Over the course of a long career, Paul has worked in nearly every style of popular music. While growing up on the west coast, Paul cut his teeth on surf music and British-invasion pop. As a young man, he performed country, rock, soul and blues, eventually becoming a successful club musician, working over two-hundred dates a year. Highlights include backing Freddie Fender, harmonica virtuoso Norton Buffalo and opening for many national touring acts.
Upon moving to Nashville in the mid-nineties, Paul shifted his focus to songwriting and has shared the stage with many of the area's top writers. In addition to performing as a singer songwriter, he remains active as a teacher, occasional session player, and a fixture on the local blues scene.

Paul K. Sa is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Song Writing Lessons .Formal Education:
47+ years of playing experience
10 years of teaching experience
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, obtained from The California College Of Arts And Crafts (Oakland,CA)in 1975.
I attended K-12 in Salinas, California, graduating from Salinas High School in 1969.
Private Education:
Attended the Valenzuela School of Guitar (Salinas, California) during 1963 and '64.
Performing Experience:
I worked in house bands during the late seventies and through the eighties. When my kids came along, I began taking day jobs and continued playing on the weekends. Upon moving to Nashville in '96, I began to focus on original music and have performed at all of the major clubs hosting songwriters. I'm around if a prospective students wanted to come out and hear me.
Experience Teaching:
Most of my students have come to me after hearing me play somewhere, wanting to learn specific techniques such as altered tunings or blues licks. Although I'm probably most comfortable with intermediates, I don't have any problem working with kids and your company's approach sounds good to me. Too much book work can really take the fun out learning to play and turn it into a source of frustration. I am also avaliable for songwriting on keyboard. Thanks for considering me!
