I wasn't sure what the “orchestral lessons" section was referring to so I selected it thinking I could put my other instrumental skills in here. My primary instrument is the flute but I can teach and play any woodwind/brass instrument ranging from the piccolo down to the tuba. I have taught flute/piccolo for several years and have loved every single minute it. Here in the recent past I acquired a trombone and I am working diligently to perfect my skills it again so I can teach that instrument as well.

My students can expect just the most basic in keyboard specialties. The keyboard/piano was not my first instrument however, it was a required instrument to teach whilst in college. I am able to pluck through notes with the student and be able to figure out which fingers go in the correct spot and how to read notation the treble and bass clef.

I participated in every ensemble throughout high school and college. I was the bass/tenor section leader for three years in high school in our show choirs/concert choirs. I also performed in several stage productions and off-stage after graduation (from high school). I've performed in just about anything ranging from Acoustic all the way to Punk Rock and everything in between.

I only ever played percussion for one semester when I was in the marching band in high school. Notation with percussive instruments is very exciting and fun to learn. Also, along with different types notation comes different types technique and as a percussionist that is very important in the long haul.
