Chris was born and raised in North ridge, California where he first started playing drums at age fourteen in the Notre Dame High School drum line in Sherman Oaks. While in the high school drum line, his school won first place in its division every year in the American Drum Line Association championships.
During this time, he began drum lessons with his long-term teacher and mentor Jason, a creative jazz drummer and musician who is currently teaching at UC Irvine and is one of the best known educators of jazz drumming in the Southern California area.
Chris also studied snare drum technique with Kevin C, a former long-term student of Murray Spivack and Richard W, who is quickly gaining a strong reputation and is being sought out by many drummers for handand foot technique.
Chris also spent a great deal of time studying Latin percussion with Jerry St. who is a very well known musician and educator who has been performing and teaching for many years. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Cal State North ridge in 2007, Chris has been touring the world by working on cruise ships, studying and playing jazz in Los Angeles and New York City and performing in many different musical situations with a wide variety of musicians.

• Holland America Cruise Lines – Show band drummer, jazz drummer and percussionist (July–December 2007 and August 2008–January 2009).
• Performed in the Cal State Northridge Jazz “A” and “B” Bands on campus, at festivals such as the Reno, Nevada Jazz Festival and toured in Germany and France. (2003–2006).
• Performed in the Latin Jazz Ensemble at Cal State Northridge (2003–2005).
• Performed in the Jazz combos at Cal State Northridge (2002–2007).
• Performed at venues in Los Angeles with artists Aaron Wolfson, Dan O’Sullivan, and Alan Glasband.
• Performed in New York City with Jake G’s Blues Quintet, The Times and musicians such as Scott Tixier, Ian Rapian, Aki Ishiguro, and Nicolas Letman-Burtinovic.

• World Music – Taught drum lessons to approximately twenty-five students weekly (February–June 2008).
