Playing drums for over 26 years and performing for various groups and artists of many different genres, Chris has kept his passion for music alive and well throughout the years. Chris first started in the drumline at school and taking drum set lessons. Then went to Cal State Northridge to obtain a bachelor's degree in Music Industry Studies. Shortly after graduating, he performed on his first cruise ship playing percussion. While spending time in New York City to master the art of jazz improvisation, he continued to learn and hone his craft. Continuing to work for cruise lines on drum set as well as tribute bands, cover bands and original artists. If you want to find the fastest way to get better at the drums, you have found it. Because Chris knows how the body and mind and spirit work in performing music and drums. It can be broken down simply and become something that you not only do as a hobby but a career!

Private Education:
Many years of private lessons with a great drum teacher in town who now teaches at Cal State Northridge and UC Irvine. Lessons with teachers from CSUN on classical percussion instruments as well as Latin Percussion instruments such as congas. Years of taking lessons and learning theory and basic reading and technique on piano. Many lessons with very famous studio drummers and touring drummers in LA as well as famous drummers in New York City. Music is about learning and the learning never ends or gets old as long as you keep it fresh!
Performing Experience:
Experience performing venues throughout LA in rock bands in High School and College, CSUN Jazz band, cruise lines Holland America and Royal Caribbean, tribute bands at casinos and venues all over the country and world with Strange Days and Peace Frog. Experience playing with some incredible musicians in New York through gigs and sessions. Having the ability to sit in in just about any situation and make it happen!
Experience Teaching:
Taught drum students as well as piano students and children's piano classes. Mostly teaching beginner piano to younger students. But teaching drum lessons at all levels and ages.
