I got my start teaching music at a summer camp in upstate New York to kids aged 9-14. I attended Berklee College of Music and recently graduated. While at Berklee I taught private bass lessons to students aged 13-22.

What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
My Beginner student's first lesson will just be being introduced to the bass (the strings, how to tune, what the parts are, ect). At a comfortable speed for each student I will introduce new aspects of the instruments (string plucking, basic scales, popular chord arrangements). I also like to find out what genre the student likes and teach them songs with in their level. My goal is after 10 months each beginner student will know the major/minor scales, be able to play 3 songs, and be able to recognize certain chord arrangements (I VI IV V ect). My plan for more intermediate student varies from student to student. It really depends on what they want to know be it a certain technique, music theory, or a certain style. I do want all my intermediate students to be able to read a little after a certain time and be able to play more advanced scales (major minor, diminished, augmented ect) and know when to use them.

I have played with various groups on tour and played on plenty of sessions. Well my own group is more jazz oriented, most of my work comes from pop, rock, and country artists.
