Recording and Mixing music used to be a carefully guarded secret. Ambitious prospects would sell an arm and leg to get into a studio, clean and make coffee for years until they had a chance to learn from the engineer. Relax! If you learn from me, you won't have to do any of that. We'll start on learning how to record in your home. That way you can learn the basics on Pro Tools and Logic. My student will learn how to use the knowledge learned and apply it to any situation in a recording session. Audio Engineers must know how to troubleshoot any studio set up, and you will learn how as well. I'm a firm believer in the idea that a hit record does not have to be created in a state of the art recording studio that charges thousands of dollars by the hour. Hit records can be made at home, and sound pretty darn close to their more prestigious counterparts. Through my lessons, we'll go over how professional studios manage to get the "radio ready sound" and how we can come within striking distance at home, and at a fraction of the cost.
