My name is Sydney. At the age of 7, I began to learn basic piano. From a young age many told me that I had good ears, though I did not know exactly what that meant. As I got older, I began to create piano covers of my favorite bands at the time, such as Linkin Park, Journey, Styx, Blink-182, and much more, adapting and consolidating songs created with a 4 piece band to just the piano. When I turned 16, I began to seriously pursue classical piano, and started to play pieces such as Ballad No. 1 (Chopin), Beethoven Op. 57, and many more advanced pieces. In college, I pursued jazz seriously, transcribing solos, playing with others in ensembles, and writing my own music.
