What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I teach from a Baby Grand Piano. The first lesson is all about getting to know the student and their expectations. Then we learn the basics of playing the piano-from how pianos work to how to sit and how to practice. Practice is very important if a student wishes to be successful at playing the piano. When students come in we will go over their homework from the previous lessons and we will go over the material they are studying from at the moment. Occasionally, I will introduce music from other sources than the material we learn from. I like to use Alfred's material. There isn't a selection to choose church music styles, but that is my preference to teach. I chose classical, which I can only teach to beginners. I can teach beginners to advanced students in church style music.
