My drumming career began in 2004, when I was 15, in Midland, TX. With lessons and much practice I improved considerably and became a well established drummer in Midland. Within four years I was performing traveling gigs, doing session work and had accepted a position as Drum Instructor for Milestone School of Modern Music. In 2009 my application was accepted for ACM’s inaugural semester, where I honed my craft as a drummer. Here I was selected for several stand out opportunities, eg., being approached by the administrator to instruct the president of UCO’s daughter in drumming and being assigned in the “Alpha Band”. I have continued to perform and pursue any opportunities that have come my way.

Gabriel N. is proficient in and teaches Drum Lessons .What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Hi! My name is Gabriel. From 18+ years of experience in many different music enviroments, a key insight has consistantly been apparent. Music at its core is art, and every musician has a unique expression of his art to bring to the table. That is why, as an instructor, I feel it is crucial to provide a solid foundation of principals and technique for my students. This will enable them to hone, articulate and express their music ability in any enviroment. I begin with students by identifying what makes them excited about drums and what their vision is for their musical ability. That way we can start off in the best direction for them individually. Stick control/grip technique, posture and efficient practice methods are some of the many elements that I address for developing a solid foundation. But, at the end of the day, what is most important is developing the student as an artist, not a drumming robot. Having a unique musical expression will be a major advantage for any one looking to join or contribute to a group of musicians. That is what music is primarilly about, and all too often can be over looked in training. Thank you for your interest in my outlook/approach, I look forward to getting started with you!
