Leanne is an accomplished piano instructor and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience teaching privately and operating private music studios. She holds a Master’s degree with extensive business, piano pedagogy, and music theory training from the Baldwin-Wallace University Conservatory of Music in Cleveland, Ohio and from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. In addition to private teaching, she has experience designing and instructing group music classes for students of all ages. Ms. Leanne has a long history of teaching the Kindermusik® curriculum as a licensed Educator, and especially enjoys working with young beginning piano students. She also plays and teaches violin, and has several years experience performing in chamber music groups. Leanne has a passion for teaching and strives to instill a love of music in her students by sharing her own.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
I'm a classically trained pianist, so that's what I teach best. I will, however, include jazz and lead sheet playing for my older students, if they prefer those styles. My students learn to read the language of music and the technique of playing the piano. I enjoy teaching piano, it's fun for me. So, I think learning music and to play piano should be fun too! My students usually agree that lessons with me are fun...not always easy, but definitely fun. I'm a strict disciplinarian, as I believe being disciplined is what helps us progress in learning any new skill, but I always discipline with love and gentle direction.
