Hi, my name is Michael and I am great with kids. I had a great music teacher as a child so I know how important it can be to have a great music teacher at a young age!
Most notably about me, I have performed with members of the Grateful Dead and played on stages such as the Double Door and Cubby Bear (Wrigleyville). Having worked with countless musicians playing drums, percussion, guitar, vocals and doing studio work at multiple professional recording studio's such as Hinge (where Kanye West recorded his first platinum album) I feel my dreams are unlimited and I feel it's due to the inspiration I learned at a young age. I've been on tour multiple times with multiple acts as well. Currently I perform live, in Chicago, every Wednesday and most Thurs - Sat.
I can play/teach any style, from rock to jazz. I'll show you what it takes to work with other musicians if you want to play in a band, or I just can show you how to play your favorite song! Drumming rudiments, basic sticking patterns are part of my lesson plan as a basic requirement for a great drummer.
