He is recognized as a dedicated, experienced and respected musician, having played with, been requested by, and constantly in demand to play with many Front Range musicians. Stu has had a wealth of experience playing drums professionally, touring in New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and the Colorado Pikes Peak and Front Range regions. With over 30 years of playing experience, he has developed a natural ability, fine technique and the ability to adapt and fit into many kinds of playing situations.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Drum Lessons focus on developing basic rhythms that function as an exciting tool to help children gain a foundation in music while working to develop fine and gross motor skills, coordination, math, and fitting into a larger ensemble. Drumming technique is the focus of the first part of each drum lesson to give students a strong understanding of how to play in a relaxed and efficient manner. This helps to make everything that is played on the drum set feel free and effortless. The second part of each lesson is dedicated to building up a vast array of rhythms. Whether you're new to the drums or an experienced drummer, it's always exciting--and sometimes a little bit scary--to begin lessons with a new teacher. That's why I do everything I can to create a friendly, supportive, relaxed learning environment for you. You can expect to 40 PAS Drum Rudiments and applications for the drum kit-Quarter, Eighth, Sixteenth, and up to 32nd note Rock and Funk Grooves-4/4, 3/4, 6/8 and other odd time signatures-Jazz, Blues, Latin, Half-time, and other time feels-MOST IMPORTANTLY-How to have FUN!!!

Stu is a competent and professional drummer and teacher. He has been teaching and performing for many years in Colorado. For years he has been a staple member of many performing groups, and is fluent in many teaching styles that drummers of all ages can learn from. We have worked on a bunch a drum groves and fills and though out all of the time i've had to cancel lessons some weeks but he would still be answering any questions I had and making sure that i was still on it. i definitely have gotten better in all parts of music, my school band teacher has noticed and my parents noticed. i have enjoyed every lesson i have had and i still enjoy lessons. overall i would recommend Stu to anyone that is looking to get into drums or has played but wants to move up skill wise.
