About Me
Hello, my name is Autumn. I have enjoyed playing the trumpet for the majority of my life. My father was a band director for many years, which sparked my passion for music at a very young age. I have had the opportunity to play in an orchestral setting as well as solo. I believe that music is a soother of the soul and can truly make a difference in ones life. Being a musician is not just a part of middle school or high school, but can be a constant companion throughout life. When working with me you can expect to not only learn, but you have a great time making music! I am not only passionate about music, but about the children I am able to teach. I look forward to getting to know you and seeing your true potential!

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons:
- - Advanced
When working together, my students should expect to learn something new each lesson and to improve from their last lesson. This environment should be one of openness to questions and excitement towards new skills. I will play alongside my students and encourage them to play with me, as well as on their own. I want parents to feel that they can be involved as well.
Formal Education:
Bachelor‘s Degree from West Texas A&M University. I have been instructed in playing the Trumpet starting in the 6th grade at beginner level through collegiate level.
Private Education:
While in high school, I had the opportunity to take private lessons alongside my everyday instruction at school.
Performing Experience:
I was privileged to be a member of the ATSSB, Association of Texas Small School Bands, All-State band for 2 consecutive years. I was also privileged to be a state soloist for the TSSEC, Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest, four consecutive years. At that competition I also participated in ensemble performances. During my college experience, I was privileged to be a part of the WTAMU brass choir. I also participated in the Town and Gown Band for directors and musicians around the Amarillo Area.
Experience Teaching:
This is my first privately contracted teaching opportunity. In the past I have taught lessons to students in my fathers band and to other students whom I knew personally. I have done this for about 2 years.
