Hi, my name is Shawn and I am a musician from New Jersey. I have been a student of music for 11 years. My musical influences include Herbie Hancock and I also enjoy Beyonce. My teaching style can best be described as relevant. My teaching philosophy is that I believe that music is apart of the future and we need to teach everyone who wants to learn so that they can succeed and surpass us. In my lessons, you can expect to learn Jazz, Pop Music, Classical, Etc. I like to tell my students that Rome wasn’t built-in a day. My favorite thing about teaching is connecting with students and teaching them what I know. My favorite performance was the night I play for my professors and they saw the progress. My students love that I am understanding. I primarily teach piano, but I can also teach drums. My approach as a teacher is to help shape my students musically. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
