Hi, my name is Brendan and I am an 18 year old high school senior from Olney, Maryland. I have been a student of music for 11 years. My musical influences include the classic blues/rock artists such as Clapton, Led Zeppelin, and ZZ Top. I also enjoy more progressive artists like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rush, and Rise Against. Country music is another genre I very much enjoy. My teaching style can best be described as facilitative. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I make sure that students understand what they are doing and not just being able to do it. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the foundations of music and how to apply them effectively to your own musical experience. I like to tell my students I can only teach if they want to learn. My favorite thing about teaching is getting to see how others learn music and compare it to how I learned it. My favorite performance was when I saw David Crowder live in New Orleans in 2016. My students love that I have a non-traditional approach to the way I teach. I primarily teach Drums, but I can also teach guitar, piano/keyboard, and music theory.
