Hi, my name is Tina and I am an elementary music teacher from Florida. My musical influences include BB King, Whitney Houston, Willie Nelson, Aerosmith,Frank Sinatra and Queen to name a few. I also enjoy musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, and Joseph's Technicolor Dreamcoat. My teaching style can best be described as focused, expecting the best from my students and most importantly, making learning fun! My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that my goal is to make a difference in a child's life through music. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the basics leading into a progressive learning experience depending upon my student's abilities and general knowledge. My favorite thing about teaching is knowing that my students are enjoying their lessons. My students love that I make lessons fun. I primarily teach kindergarten to fifth grade, but I can also teach voice, song composition, and Jembe, conga, and tubano drumming. In high school I was in all county and state chorus competitions as well as individual voice competition and won many awards. I also was in my high school musical “No, No Nanette”.
