Vince Ca.

As an accomplished performer and teacher, Vince has always practiced towards perfection in the art of music. His first experience with drumset came at the age of three years old, when he received a drumset and began to play. At first it was a pastime, but over time it became a passion that still continues to grow everyday. In an effort to improve his skills he began taking formal instruction, both privately and in group settings for snare drum and drumset. In late elementary school, his interest became more intense and he expanded his studies to encompass a much wider scope of percussion instruments and training in a vast amount of styles and genres. During high school Vince performed with local bands and ensembles. He then applied his many percussion skills for entry into and was accepted at The Hartt School Community Division. At The Hartt School he began his study in Music Theory and Music History while having the opportunity to be a member of The Greater Hartford Youth Wind Ensemble, The Connecticut Youth Symphony, and Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Benjamin Toth, Chair of Percussion, The Hartt School. During this time and while still in high school, Vince received recognition in assisting the teaching of numerous percussion workshops and master classes in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island with Mr. Toth. It was also around this time when Vince began teaching lessons for drumset. Prior to high school graduation Vince also had extensive experience recording, both in the studio and live. 

Vince began his college studies at The Hartt School of Music, located in West Hartford, Connecticut. There, he continued training in total percussion, although his main focus was on orchestral percussion and keyboard percussion. Primary instruction at Hartt was with Benjamin Toth. Other guest teachers included Dave Samuels, John Amira, Nebojsa Jovan Zivkovic, and Regario Baccatu. Vince studied a double major; Percussion Performance, and Arts Business Management. Classes inc
