Hi, my name is Kyle and I am a Guitarist/ Bassist as well as a Songwriter, Recording artist and Live musician. I have been a student of music for 14 years, recording for 9 years and a live musician for 8 years. My musical influences include many guitarists not only with shredding ability but guitarists with great songwriting all the way from blues to modern rock and metal and I also enjoy songwriting, recording, and playing live. My teaching style can best be described as what the students feeling. If you’re a beginner, we’ll start with the basics. If you’re interested in music theory, we will start a good introduction to theory. If you want to become a better songwriter, we will go over writing and how to arrange your songs. If you want to learn solo techniques, there are many to be taught, including alternate tunings, and if you want to learn bass or learn bass as a guitar player, you got it! My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I am passionate in my lessons, you can expect to learn whatever you need to be the musician you want to be. I like to tell my students music is a very important expression of one's self and discovering yourself in your instrument is one of the most rewarding feelings you will experience. My favorite thing about teaching is teaching a new generation of passionate kids or anyone older picking up a guitar for the first time. My favorite performance was my 6th time playing at the House of Blues in Chicago in front of 1,200 people. My students love that I am patient and don’t rush them and keep the teaching environment fun, relaxed and productive. I primarily teach Guitar, and Bass, but I can also teach Songwriting and even live performance tips and gear such as different guitars/ basses, pedals, amps etc. My approach as a teacher is to put the student first teach them what they need to learn and teach them what they’re interested in learning as they progress as a player.
