Mariana has always loved music from an early age. She began playing guitar at the age of twelve and continued her education by majoring in music at Bunker Hill Community College and minoring in Music at Worcester State University. Her musical influences include; Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, Avenged Sevenfold and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Mariana's favorite thing about music is the freeing sensation and opportunity for creativity. Her favorite thing about teaching music is seeing someone accomplish their own goals and find their own creative voice. Her favorite teaching experiences has been teaching friends and family the ukulele and guitar. When taking lessons with Mariana you can expect to have fun and get creative at a productive and lenient speed. What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students can expect to learn the basics of guitar playing and ukulele playing. I like to emphasize the correlation between guitar playing fingers (left hand for right handed people and right hand for left handed people). I like to talk about the general structure of a chord as well as the basics of a strumming pattern. Expect to get creative and have fun playing along to your favorite songs!
