Hi, my name is Merichel and I am a vocalist and piano aficionado from Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been a student of music for about 15 years. I am influenced by almost all types of music, and my favorite genres are R&B, gospel, funk and hip-hop. My teaching style can best be described as easygoing and cumulative. I believe that whatever you put your mind to can be achieved. In my lessons, you can expect to learn piano scales, key signatures, and historical influences over the past century. I primarily teach voice and basic software instructions GarageBand and Ableton Live, but I can also teach piano. GarageBand and Ableton Live are the first platforms I will use to instruct students how to create tracks, layer tracks, and mix/master the final product.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I will teach basic finger placing for each chord and key signatures, as well as reading music.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
I will teach vocal warm-ups, reading music, breathing techniques, as well as memorization and vocal protection tips.
