Born on July 22, 1986. I grew up in a small town outside of Dallas Texas. Started playing guitar and drums at 15 years old. I have been influenced by guitarist like Stephen Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Dimebag Darrell, Jason Isbell, Drive By Truckers, Cody Canada, and many more from a variety of genres.

Beginner - Intermediate
First I need to know the students experience level. Have you had previous lessons? What are your musical influences? What are your goals as a guitar player or drummer? If you have some experience, what are your strong points and what are your weakness? How much time are you willing to devote to practice? Based on the answers to these questions we will design a program that fits your experience level and goals. I am not interested in giving small tidbits of information and trying to keep my students coming back for more. I want to give you the ability to teach yourself and steer you in the direction you want to go.
Formal Education:
I graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Private Education:
In the beginning I taught myself with guitar tabs and magazines. As I grew older I would relentlessly study live performances of my favorite artist. I would also take in hours and hours of YouTube lessons every day on different techniques and theory. I have also spent time with a lot of talented musicians over the years and absorbed as much of their knowledge as possible.
Performing Experience:
I have played in rock/blues/country bands for 4-5 years in my 20s and performed solo acoustic sets as well.
Experience Teaching:
I have taught many people, young and old, over the years. Having taught myself to play guitar and drums I don't believe in a one size fits all approach. I like to know why the student wants to learn guitar or drums, what are their influences, and most importantly what kind of music do THEY want to play and where do they want it to take them. Long story short we aren't going to play Mary Had A Little Lamb, unless you absolutely want to.
