Teaching music has become one of the best jobs I've ever had!! Love playing and teaching drums and guitar and watching children and adults grow within their instrument and have fun doing it!! I've been playing music for 20 years and am now endorsed by Soultone Cymbals.
Angel C. has over 5 years of music experience in the Las Vegas area.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Drums lessons are always a great time with students. Also getting a feel for what type of music they like to listen to, help them understand, maintain and tune their drums. Lessons provided teach different drumming techniques, rudiments, many different patterns, linear grooves and most importantly timing.
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Teaching Methods: In my experiences teaching methods with each kids varies. Whiles some do great with paper lessons I provide others are more visual and hands on learners. I make sure all my students have lesson copies to practice on their own. I make sure students know their instruments well, learn about musicians related to their instrument, start lessons with warm ups and lesson copies and advance to playing songs and structuring their own songs. And always to have fun doing so. Learning an instrument can be frustrating so keeping it fun is a must. Walk thru of first lesson: First lessons involve: Learning the names and parts of your instruments, 1st warm up, how to play 3 chords or their first drum beat, how to count while they play, i like to ask what kind of music and/or musicians they like to get a grasp on what kind of songs they might want to learn. I also try to find out what their goals might be for their instrument. Kids are typically starting from scratch so they may not know yet but more of my older students know that they want to work on fill incorporation or just how to play certain songs. i adapt my teaching styles to what or how my kids learn. Why im a good teacher: Being patient, encouraging, a listener and not just a knowledge enforcer allows kids to feel more comfortable and open to play. I make the music experience fun and make sure they grow with each lesson. A good teacher teaches the fundamentals but allows the kid to grow within their own style.
