About Me

I have been a band musician and a choir vocalist ever since the fifth grade. I have been a music major all four years at Morgan State University in Baltimore and graduated in December of 2017. I have been accepted into the Masters of Art Teaching (MAT program) at Morgan State and I am in the process of earning a Masters so I can go out into the world and lead future musicians.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Student should expect to learn fundamentals of singing. Vowel placement and correct technique will be implemented thought every lesson so that the student produces a beautiful sound effortlessly. Solfege will be the main foundation when learning intervals and theory through singing because music literacy is what every musician should master.


What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students should expect learning the basics of how to hold the guitar and the pick. Learning chords will come first, then scales in different modes and how to read tabs or sheet music will also be implemented. The student will gain a proper understanding of how guitar is played. Whether learning a three chord song or playing in drop tuning, the student will be able to reach his or her goals.


What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students should expect to learn the basics of how to hold the bass and using their fingers or a pic to play. The student will gain a proper understanding of how bass guitar is played. Playing scales in different modes and how to read tabs or sheet music will also be implemented Whether learning a three note song or playing in drop tuning, the student will be able to reach his or her goals.

Calvert Hall College High School Wind Ensemble (Band) and Hallmen (Choir)

Performing Experience:

I have been in church bands as a bass player and a vocalist and in personal project bands as the guitar player since the seventh grade

Experience Teaching:

I am a student teacher for an Oral Dictation class and I have five students that I tutor twice a week.
