My name is Jacob. I have been playing saxophone (primarily tenor) for over 10 years and hold a Bachelor of Music degree from Cornish College of the Arts with a focus on jazz saxophone performance and jazz composition, and keep a consistent performing schedule with various bands in the Seattle/Pacific Northwest area. I am currently seeking beginning jazz students for weekly private lessons. All instruments are welcome. Lessons will be informal and will cater to the wants of the student. Piano skills helpful, but not required. Ability to read music a must. Lesson space is in Ballard. Areas of my experience include: Sight-reading, rhythm, musicianship, jazz theory, jazz arranging, jazz composition, and piano skills (harmony).

I work with various bands in Seattle and around the Pacific Northwest. I have performed at (and/or continue to perform at) Egan's Ballard Jam House, LUCID Jazz Lounge, TosT, The High Dive, Triple Door Musicquarium, Eastside Tavern (Olympia), Faire Gallery Cafe, Skylark, Cornish College of the Arts, Tula's, among other venues and numerous regional festivals.
