Cameron began playing bass at the age of 11. Over the years, he developed his skills further by playing and jamming with other musicians and studying music at the University of Northern Colorado. He gained performance experience in the jazz, rock, and funk areas by playing at such venues as Hodi's Half Note, Globe Hall, Lost Lake Lounge, and Larimer Lounge with acts such as Graham Good and the Painters and multiple jazz combos. Though Cameron can teach many genres of music, his musical personal favorites are jazz and funk which had great influence on his style of playing. Cameron loves music because it gives meaning to life and loves teaching music because it helps expand music in other people's lives. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Cameron can help you expand and enhance your playing with his knowledge in chord theory and advance to basic music theory. What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students can expect to learn the bass guitar or upright bass entirely in multiple genres of music through scales, excerpts, and songs. Students will be able to navigate through any situation with the knowledge of their role as a bass player.
Formal Education:
I went to high school in Alaska and Germany respectively.
Private Education:
I am on my last semester for getting my BM in Jazz Bass Studies and Music Business at the University of Northern Colorado.
Performing Experience:
I've been gigging around the Northern Colorado area for almost 4 years.
