Donavon has always loved music from an early age. He began playing drums at the age of 5 and continued his education by self-teaching. His musical influences include The Beatles, Michael Jackson, John Mayer, and many more. Donavon's favorite thing about music is how expressive it can be and his favorite thing about teaching music is the challenges and excitement that comes with it. One of his favorite teaching experiences was teaching his wife simple rhythm and watching her learn not 1, but 2 drum patterns in one sitting!
