Hi, my name is Peter, my Korean name is Bansuck. I just go by Peter! I am a Drum set performance major from William Paterson University's jazz program. I have been a student of music for more than 10 years. My musical influences stem from jazz, hip hop, rock, and fusion genres. I specialize in jazz, latin, and rock on the drums. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the history of the drums, the basics, and a little bit of every genre. Once you have learned all the basics, I let my students choose what kind of genre they want to focus on, so then I create a customized curriculum for the student! I primarily teach drum set, but I also teach percussion and cello. My approach as a teacher is to have my students LOVE their instrument and have fun all while learning the fundamentals and basics to hone their skills. As a jazz artist, I always gear the curriculum towards improvisation so the students have the ability to play on the spot and have the ability to express their individuality and creativity into their instrument.
