Carlehr has always loved music from an early age. She began playing piano at the age of 7 and continued her education by majoring in Music at George Mason University. Her musical influences include Bach and Oscar Peterson. Carlehr's favorite thing about music is the way it makes others feel and her favorite thing about teaching music is shaping a generation of young musicians. One of her favorite teaching experiences was with her piano teacher of 14 years who taught her an instrument that turned into a career.
