Mark has always loved music from an early age. He began playing drums at the age of 2 and continued to grow by learning how to play piano in high school and producing music/ song writing as well. Everything was self taught as well due to financial problems in the home. His musical influences include bands like snarky puppy, John Blackwell drummer, Tony Royster drummer Cory Henry piano, and Pharrell music producer, just to name a few. Mark's favorite thing about music is the overall ability to be yourself and to be able to find out who you are through music. His favorite thing about teaching music is connecting with yourself through your instrument of choice, letting that instrument guide you on your ceilingless musical journey. One of his favorite teaching experiences was when his students at Gwynn Park High School entered an all-county Drumline battle, only had a week to prepare and ended up getting first place, then becoming the best Drumline in the county.
