Hi, my name is Naquisha and I am a multi-instrumentalist from Texas. I have been a student of music for several years. My musical influences include Zedd, Brian Transeau, and Chopin and I also enjoy anything that allows humans to experience the full scale of music. My teaching style can best be described as chords first, questions later. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying "Practicing your heart out is the most important thing, but don't forget why you're practicing". In my lessons, you can expect to learn basic music theory. I like to tell my students "When it gets difficult is when you're making the most progress". My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the lightbulb in peoples' heads turn on once they've figured something out. My favorite performance was at Lutheran Summer Music, a music fest/camp in Iowa. I sang in front of my colleagues for the first time and loved it. My students love that I push them, but not too hard. I primarily teach basic music theory, but I can also teach playing by ear.
