3-5 Years
Heyo, Mitch here. I've been playing music for over 12 years here in Oklahoma City. I started the double bass in fourth grade and went on to play in the OMEA All-State orchestras all three years in high school. I took scholarship to play in the OSU Symphony Orchestra for one year. Strings come easily to me based on this. I taught myself the electric bass and acoustic guitar in high school, as well as learning to sing while playing either. After my first year in college I decided to follow my dreams of being in a successful, traveling band. I currently sing lead and slap the bass in my band called "Pax," and we just released an album called "Sandy Blue"--now streaming on all music platforms. Go ahead and check it out! I am taking classes at to major in music production. I haven't taught lessons for money but I have inspired and motivated many people to pick up an instrument, showing them tips and tricks to spark their musical drive. I was bass section leader for 3 years in high school, so most of my teaching experience comes from holding masterclasses for fellow students. I took private bass lessons for 5 years, so I have been formally taught how to read and play music. I write my songs and lyrics in the band, and have been doing so for 3 years. That might be as much horn tootin' I can think of, a lesson with me could be pivotal for your musical interests. I treat everyone with respect and have a great outlook on life. Thank you for reading!
