What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

I don't have much experience teaching vocals; however, a student beginning will be taught proper solfège syllables. I can demonstrate how to properly sing intervals in any key using "fixed do" or "movable do" techniques that will allow the student to sing pitches accurately. I can provide interval ear training lessons and reveal entertaining ways to learn and practice harmony.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

A student will be shown new exciting ways to think about song writing, as well as basic structure to properly initiate verses, choruses, and bridges. Each student will be taught music theory to allow them to visualize a formula to their creation. I plan to expose more advanced students the 9 ways to modulate. I am most experienced in teaching diatonic common chords, deceptive cadences, common tone modulation, and direct modulation. All students will be taught chord progressions that can be applied at any time in their musical writing. I will provide techniques to allow students to structure melodies and write harmonies. I will train students how to properly write and read notation on the bass and treble clef. I will develop ways a student can memorize all the rhythmic possibilities to write for a beat in a measure using simple and compound meters.

What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce

Beginner -

I have been experimenting and researching with audio production for 12 years, with exposure to live sound and recording. I am currently continuing my education in audio engineering, and have plenty of experience with software's such as Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, and Reason. I can train students on these software's and instruct efficient mic techniques to captivate a quality recording. I am also able to expose advanced students to the applicable use of parametric EQ, graphic EQ, high pass filter, low pass filter, noise gate, expander, types of compression, and time-based effects for recordings. I can effectively demonstrate how to establish proper gain gauging for recording and live performances with exposure to Tube, Ribbon, Dynamic, and Condenser mics. I can also introduce students to mastering and teach them methods I have found helpful throughout my professional experience. Above all, I am always eager to share information and discuss equipment I have found very useful over the years.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

All my students can expect accurate chord charts and guitar tablature for songs. Each student will establish freedom and flexibility on the guitar neck to enhance the student's ability to perform and navigate through learning songs accurately. Each student will be shown visual cues for chords, scales, and modes. My students can also expect a large variety of lessons in which they can express themselves through music in their own personal way. This will also allow me to determine how each individual student can evolve more efficiently in the future. I strongly believe in creating a welcoming environment for my students to feel comfortable asking questions and exploring their ideas.
