Review About Me
I make learning to play an instrument FUN rather than a chore. Using the songs the students choose I customize each lesson to the student's individual needs. I am a multi-instrumentalist and a songwriter as well and I develop each lesson around the song. I have the ability to explain things like rhythm, structure and chords and simplify them so anyone can understand. Developing a sense of confidence is really my main goal with teaching music. It is very important especially with children to feel engaged, understand how to do something and have fun while doing it! I make the learning process simple and look forward to each lesson that I do.

Using the songs the student likes I will get you up and running playing chords and songs on your first lesson! I'm great with simplifying how to place your fingers on the neck of the guitar,the finger position of chords and since I'm also a drummer I'm great at teaching you how to keep good rhythm while strumming.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Beginner
Using the songs the student likes I will get you up and running on your first bass lesson! I''ll show you easy songs and exercises and how to press down on the strings so your notes sound awesome. We can start with simple riffs like Seven Nation Army and go from there!
What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
I make learning to play the drums FUN! as it should be My beginner drum lessons focus on teaching you simple beats and then incorporating drum fills drum rolls that are fun and easy to play.We'll also work on the songs the student wants to play! At the end of each lesson the student feels confident and inspired! For intermediate drummers I focus on teaching more challenging beat patterns,fills and coordination.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner
I love playing and writing songs on the piano! Although I do read music my lessons focus more on the creative side and how play songs the students really love. I can show you the note names,how to play simple chords and I instill a sense of confidence in all young musicians and inspire them to want to continue playing piano.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner
I've had 2 years of professional voice coaching/training and I'm great with helping young singers find their OWN voice as well as keeping them in pitch. We always focus on learning the songs the student wants to play and developing ear-training,timing,and perfect pitch.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I've written and co-written many songs in the various bands I've performed in over the past 25 years. I have songs published and have credits in the Film & /TV as well as multiple album credits. I love all kinds of music and can help you develop your own songwriting style and sound. First we'll focus on understanding how to create the basics: Verse-Chorus-Verse
What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
Beginner - Intermediate
I've produced many recordings using ProTools and analog recording gear. I've worked with and learned from some great producers and I can teach young students things like proper microphone placement,how to create great vocal tracks and some basic ProTools editing and mastering techniques.
