Josh loved music from the very earliest stages of life. He began his performance career at the age of 7 singing at different family functions and the like. He joined his elementary school band at the age of 10 and never looked back. His formal education comes in the form of music education with a focus on percussion in everything from concert percussion, to four mallet solo marimba and drum set studies. He has also studied guitar finger style playing as well as song composition and vocal studies. He was the section leader for his high school drumline helping to lead them to a Denver regional championship in the WGI circuit in 2009 and was also the center snare at the University of Texas at El Paso for the 2014 season. He studied under Professor Larry White and is versed in Music Theory and Aural Skills. Josh has been teaching Drumline at the high school level for 8 years at numerous high schools throughout El Paso including Chapin High School and Socorro High school with most of his tenure at Bel Air high school where he helped lead the group to two state competition appearances and numerous Drumline awards.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students can expect a fun and productive environment with a dedicated curriculum designed specifically for the type of music that they wish to learn whether it be finger style guitar playing or something a little more contemporary
What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Depending on the level of advancement for each student, students can expect to learn any and all genres of music that they are interested in with a calculated approach designed for each students style of learning in fun, relaxed yet productive environment
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students can expect to learn essential techniques with an emphasis on proper vocal control designed to protect the voice as well as achieving a great tone quality and a theoretical approach focused on correct pitch and vocal control to achieve the maximum amount of tone quality possible
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students can expect lessons to include an approach based in music theory which will help explain the 'why' songs are written in a specific way so that they can take an educated approach in every song that they attempt to write as well as learning the more popular forms of music and how that music is written.
