My name is Max and I am 26 years old. I lived in Herkimer most of my life. I have been playing guitar and bass since I was 13, both electric and acoustic as well as singing since I was even younger than that. I have been playing and singing out in bands since about 15. I have played in over 15 bands and worked with many musicians as well as recording on albums as well as recorded an album with the band called Autumn Fire. I also have an acoustic duo as well as a full band. I got lessons when I was 13 for about a year and then took it on my own for a couple years. I took some theory in Herkimer county community college. After graduating from there, I went to Oneonta State college for music industry and got my bachelors where i took jazz guitar lessons for 3 years and learned advanced theory with guitar and piano. I can play jazz, rock, heavy metal, blues, funk, and solo very well. I can read music, tab, and chord and lead sheets. I write a lot of music in all kinds of styles. I can also learn things very easily by ear as well. I have been teaching guitar for about a few years here and there and have 3 students currently. I would like to have more students and work more often.

I have played guitar, bass, and sang in many bands since I was in high school in every club, wedding, gym, prom, bar, around Herkimer county, oneida county, as well as a lot of places in Oneonta, Syracuse, Buffalo, Albany, and Old Forge. I personally have played at the Silverados in Herkimer, The Electric Company in utica, The Sickenberger in utica, Cavallos in New Hartford, The Wigwam in Forestport, The Happen inn in Little Falls, The East End Steakhouse in Little Falls, Albany St. in Herkimer, Brownies(now the spotlight) in Herkimer, Cacciatores in Ilion, Tonys Lounge in Frankfort, Nothin Fancy in Vernon, Daikers in Old Forge, Dick Smiths in Utica, The Lost Horizon in Syracuse, The Westcott Theater in Syracuse, Northern Lights in Clifton Park, The Pub in Oneonta, The Black Oak in Oneonta, The Foothills in Oneonta, Sidestreets in Mohawk and so much more! I have also played at FrogFest from 2005-09 for 4 years straight, whichs holds 16-18 thousand people every year.

I am a substitute teacher currently for all the schools around my area and I am teaching one adult, one 6 year old girl and my brother.
