Devin began playing drums at the age of 3. Over the years, he further developed his skills by learning guitar, piano, and how to record and produce studio albums. He gained performance experience in the Tampa/st Pete area by playing at venues such as the Orpheum, and Ruby’s Elixir playing with acts such as the Infinity 8’s. Though Devin can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are rock, jazz, funk, and alternative, which have had a great deal of influence on his style of playing. Devin loves music because it’s the best emotional medium and loves teaching music because you can share feelings without speaking. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Devin can help you expand and enhance your playing. Devin is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals. What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
I currently have produced a few artists including myself of which, one is on all 35 music platforms (yea there is actually 35). I have spent time in professional studios including clear tracks, full sail, and hideaway. I have a fully enveloped professional home recording studio with multiple amps mics drumsets sound treatment monitors and the like, available for practice, recording, and primarily.. music production instruction.
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Depending on the preference we will take a theory oriented approach learning primarily notation, notes, scales, chords and charts. technique based learning styles can be useful in many different ways to actually play. More than likely a mixture of both teaching methods will be implemented as seen to fit.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Technique and form based approach to learning chord progressions, charts scales and notation depending on student preference. Emphasis on learning shapes and scales.
What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Strictly technique based skill development, initially, then once physical barriers are surpassed a theory and rudiment approach is primarily adopted to compliment what technique has already been learned
