Hi! My name is Shane and I have been playing guitar for 14 years. I took lessons when I was younger, and when I graduated from high school I decided to go to the McNally Smith College of Music in Saint Paul, Minnesota to further my music education. From there I obtained an Associates Degree in Guitar Performance and I have taught various people both in person and online over the last couple of years. I specialize in blues and rock, but I also know how to play classical. I have played in a few different blues and rock bands over the years. I have played on hip hop and rock songs and I was even featured on a ukulele record by world class player Marlowe Teichman. I love teaching people because it reminds me of how excited I was when first learning new concepts, scales, or songs and I love passing on that joy and excitement to other people.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students can expect a fun and driven learning environment based around applying music theory to the instrument, and how to use that to improve their solos, chord knowledge, and anything else that peaks their interests. We will learn songs, scales, and tons of different playing techniques from alternate picking to finger tapping!

Performing Experience:
I have played in hip hop groups, blues bands, rock bands, and solo acoustic gigs, starting at the age of 9.
Experience Teaching:
I have taught a few close friends how to play as well as some people over the internet. I also have video lessons available on my YouTube Channel covering various aspects of the guitar.
