After spending the past 2 decades playing and obsessing about everything guitar related, I've decided to dedicate my life to teaching others. I love my students and love seeing them be rewarded by their achievements. My lessons are catered to every student individually and my goal is to use every student's unique capabilities and personalities to build a foundation for the journey of a lifetime. I am a father, and a husband and strive to be a good example for my younger students. I believe playing an instrument can be an incredibly rewarding and healthy experience that will enrich the student's mind, not only with the ability to play music, but with a greater understanding of our feelings and expressions through our history. I want to find out exactly what my students love about music so that together we can walk through the learning process, and they can see that with a little dedication they as well can become a guitar player.

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
We will meet on a regular weekly basis in a relaxed environment where the main goal is to equip my student with the tools they need to play the music they want to play. The lessons are divided into two parts and I make planned practice for the week for every student individually. Student's have the opportunity to decide the direction we are headed and the songs we are playing and I will utilize that to their advantage. We will work a separate part for exercises and general guitar knowledge that is intrinsic to playing all styles of music.

I've been playing for 20 years and perform any chance I get. Currently I am a part of the Vista Community Church worship team and play there regularly.

Edgar is definitely someone I would invest in getting lessons with. He helps you learn the material yet, also strives to help and teach you no matter how long it takes. He is definitely someone who knows what he's doing and it's great because you learn the songs and styles you want to learn while also learning cords, how to tune and put strings on your guitar, and how to learn and develop a sense of holding a guitar and the right way to do so. Edgar is an amazing dude with serious skill. He's great at breaking down complex ideas into easily understandable bites, and making them fun to learn about. His lessons and homework never feel like actual work, they're simply a blast. Edgar doesn't have a set curriculum plan either, instead he teaches to your individual taste and gives you songs from your genre of choice to practice. More than all of that, Edgar is a great guy and I consider him a friend as well as my mentor. If you're looking for a top-tier teacher, you've found him.
