Jason is an acclaimed drummer, educator and clinician residing in the
Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. He is the leader of The Jason Price Trio, The Fusion Thing and The Skyway Jazz Orchestra. Jason also performs with Synergy, The R Factor, and for various theatre productions throughout the Midwest. Jason is also releasing his first CD as a leader entitled "Collaborations" featuring many musicians from around the United States.
Jason serves on the drumset faculty of the nation's longest running summer jazz program at The Shell Lake Arts Center in Wisconsin and is also the leader of the Shell Lake Arts Center's annual Drumset Workshop. In addition, Jason teaches in the Lakeville, MN Area Schools and also has a large private drum studio comprised of students throughout Minnesota. Jason also appears as a drumset clinician and guest artist/adjudicator at jazz androck festivals throughout the United States.
Jason attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he was a member of the Grammy-Nominated and DownBeat award-winning Jazz Ensemble I for three years. The ensemble recorded annual acclaimed CDs and tourednationally. Jason received a BME Degree from UW-Eau Claire in 2002.Jason has performed with Jon Faddis, Byron Stripling, Harold Mabern, Bill Reichenbach, Greg Keel, Debbie Duncan, Robert Robinson, Dominic Spera,Nick Schneider, Bill Sears, Dave Singley, Lennie Foy, Dean Sorenson, Kelly Rossum, Michael Nelson, Irv Williams, Laura Caviani, Peter Schimke, Mary Louise Knutson, Ed Calle and Slide Hampton.
