Hi, my name is Ryan and I am a drummer from Hurst, Tx. I have been a student of music for 12 years. My musical influences include Kings of Leon, The Killers, U2, Elevation Worship, Planetshakers, Hillsong, and I also enjoy mountain biking. My teaching style can best be described as laidback yet progressive. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I want my students to learn in a way that challenges them each day. In my lessons, you can expect to learn rudiments, grooves, fills, tuning, proper technique, and practical application. My favorite thing about teaching is meeting new people and seeing growth in my students. My favorite performance was with my old band Refuge, in Houston, Tx. What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Each lesson will be specifically tailored to meet the students needs and interests. My goal is to maximize our lesson time so that each student gets the most out of the lessons provided. As a student, you can expect to learn rudiments, fills, grooves, tuning, technique, drum care and maintenance, as well as practical application.
Formal Education:
Studied Drums and Percusion at TCC.
Private Education:
Private lessons as a teenager.
Performing Experience:
Studio recordings, church drummer, multiple local bands.
Experience Teaching:
I have been teach lessons for 5 years to students from all over the metroplex.
