10 Years
Hi, my name is Dylan and I am a guitarist from Florida. I have been a student of music for 12 years. My musical influences include Gary Rossington Lynyrd Skynyrd, JB Brubaker ABR and I also enjoy Billy Gibbons ZZ Top. My teaching style can best be described as part theory, part practical knowledge, and all fun. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I use all resources available to make sure the student understands the lesson in a way that makes sense to them. In my lessons, you can expect to learn music theory as it relates to guitar, basic sheet music, scales/modes, as well as basic to intermediate improvisation techniques. I like to tell my students one of my favorite quotes "To play a wrong note is of no consequence, but to play without passion is inexcusable". My students love that I teach them in a way they can enjoy everything about playing guitar, even learning music theory. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach basic recording and mixing, and I'm currently going to school at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences. My approach as a teacher is to be prepared for the lesson, use material appropriate for the student, and help them become a better musician. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!
