Hello, I am Louanne and started my journey in music with the piano at 6 years of age. In elementary school, I heard my first orchestra perform and fell in love with the French Horn and that became my second instrument. As a teenager, I was interested in a guitar my father had in the corner and taught myself to play and by the time I was in college I started playing electric bass guitar in a band with friends. Eventually I bought an electric guitar and continued to teach myself to play and even learned how to fix and modify it. As an adult, I learned to play drums and continue to enjoy playing them to this day. Piano, however, is my first love and has always been with me. It is the "master instrument" and as such my approach to teaching it is classical and structured. I learned that practice does make perfect. Learning piano can improve a person's concentration and memory as well as soothe your soul. This is why of all the instruments I have played, the piano remains my beloved favorite.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students can expect to learn the fundamentals of the piano forte and music reading. They can expect to play with a metronome at times in order to appreciate the need for consistent tempo and understand the feels of various tempos. They can expect to learn to count out loud as they play. They can expect to learn embellishments as the music demands it turns, trills glissandos. As students progress in their playing, they will be encouraged to memorize a piece short at first as per the classical training method.
