Song writing can be the most fulfilling musical endeavor one can partake on. No feeling matches what it's like to listen to a song that sounds just perfect and knowing you made all of it. I'll teach you the foundations of exactly how to start this process via improvisational techniques, having a decent knowledge of various scales, 'motifs,' and basic recording techniques to start filling that canvas. Then we'll learn about how to progress your song from sequence to sequence in flavorful ways, how to make unique chord progressions, and generally how to write a good song.

First we'll learn the foundations of what it is that makes your favorite genre click, such as the aesthetic presentation, compositional techniques and styles, and playing style of whatever genre it is. We'll build long term goals based off of these foundations, such as being able to play a song in that genre perfectly along with understanding the theory behind what makes the song work the way it does, being able to comfortably improvise in the style you want to learn about, writing a song in the style you want to learn, and making your playing sound like the playing of your favorite artists.
