Jacob H.

Jacob has always loved music from an early age. He began playing trombone at the age of twelve and continued his education by starting off at Lonestar College and later transferring to Oklahoma State University. Jacob is proficient in both tenor and bass trombone, while playing euphonium on the side. His musical influences include James Markey, Alan Barnhill, Paul Compton, and Joseph Alessi. Jacob's favorite thing about music is how you are able to express yourself without the use of words and his favorite thing about teaching music is helping someone else unlock that ability. One of his favorite teaching experiences was with the Cy Fair High School marching band. Jacob also has experience performing in the Houston area with groups such as the Houston Youth Symphony and the American Festival for the Arts, as well as outside of Houston at the Midwest Clinic.
