Amanda has a Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Akron. She is currently attending UA for her Master's of Voice. She performs with Cleveland Opera Theater, the Cleveland Opera, Choir of Hope, and Nightingale Opera. She has 10+ years of performance experience. She has taught private voice and Beginner-Intermediate flute lessons for about 6 years. She has directed church choirs and dramas and has also performed with local bands, orchestras, choirs, operas and musicals. She is very passionate about teaching proper technique, but also making it a fun experience! Amanda's favorite genres of music are Classical, Opera, Broadway, Celtic/New Age, Classic Rock, Alternative Rock, Renaissance, Blues and Jazz. She loves to perform and even dabbles in composition. She is capable of teaching the history of music and how to read music. Amanda loves the music of Evanescence, Luciano Pavarotti, Renee Fleming, Kelly Clarkson, Mandisa, Casting Crowns, Heart, Queen, John Williams, Danny Elfman, Linkin Park, Verdi, Maria Callas, and Michael Buble, just to name a few! She resides in Wadsworth, Ohio with her loving husband and 3 guinea pigs.

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
For the first lesson, students should expect a quick conversation about who you are and what your goals are in your lessons. Then, you will learn some warm-ups to get an idea of your ability level. Then we will work on technique and possibly assign exercises to work on for the next lesson.
