Hello, my name is Ona, I’ve been involved in music my whole life and started my journey with guitar 8 years ago, I studied at the Levine School of Music and that’s where I started my journey teaching as well! My expertise is in teaching beginner guitar to kids around the ages of 8yrs and under. Can’t wait to help you start your own guitar and music journey!

Beginner -
With my students I always want to gage what their level of knowledge, interest and focus is. Especially when it comes to teaching younger kids you have to keep them interested if they’re going to learn anything so first things first what music do they like, is they’re instrument the proper size, getting familiar with the guitar, learning how to comfortably hold and handle the guitar, etc... are all important aspects of getting started then we can move on to chords and actually playing songs and so on. Once you child has outgrown the basics and is ready to move on to more advanced playing and music theory I’d be happy to recommend a few teachers that could continue your child’s musical education.
Formal Education:
I studied guitar, voice, jazz and vocal performance at the Levine School of Music for 8 years.
Performing Experience:
I performed solo and with bands in the east coast area around DC and NYC and am looking forward to booking gigs in the Austin area very soon!
Experience Teaching:
I started as a teachers assistant and moved up to teaching group lessons to children around kindergarten age.
