Dylan Jo.

Hi, my name is Dylan and I am a drummer from Oklahoma City. I have been a student of music for 16 years. My musical influences include Gorillaz, The Killers, Grizzly Bear, Kings of Leon, My Morning Jacket, Broken Social Scene and so many more artists and genres. My teaching style can best be described as laid back and fun. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying I still love to learn things all of the time and I'm willing to dig into any subject matter you're interested in. I believe that once you start being a student of drums you can always keep learning. In my lessons, you can expect to learn basic technique, hand and feet independence exercises, how to play along to songs that inspire you and how to read sheet music. I like to tell my students that the more you learn and study music the more fun and possibilities you can have with it. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing a student finally nailing something that has been challenging to them. My approach as a teacher is to listen to what you want to learn about and apply my expertise to make the lesson not only educational but super fun. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
