**CURRENTLY IN COLLEGE AT MANKATO UNTIL AFTER MAY 8TH. Would love to teach during the summer, so book knowing that I will not be available until after the 8th of May. Thanks!!** Hey! I’m Sam, and I’m an avid bass player. I’ve played the bass for seven years, and it’s an instrument I’ve seldom found myself able to put down, because I find that I’m able to express myself through playing and performing. I specialize in all styles of contemporary music, including rock, pop, funk, R&B, hip-hop, and even a little bit of country! In my lessons, we can learn anything from Bruno Mars to Metallica. I was a student at School of Rock Eden Prairie for almost four years, and over the course of that time, I was twice a winner of the School of Rock Eden Prairie Gold Award, which is given to the student who best personifies the music school. I was a 2017 and 2018 School of Rock International AllStar, which is given to less than the top 1 percent of School of Rock students. This allowed me to tour with some of the best students School of Rock has to offer… two summers in a row! I played shows at legendary venues such as The Troubadour on the Los Angeles, California Sunset Strip, the Woodward Theater in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the MoPop Festival in Detroit, Michigan. I also have recording experience at the iconic Village Recording Studios in West LA. I am a recent graduate of Perpich Arts High School in Golden Valley, where I was a part of their music program, playing many genres of music in many school ensembles. My lessons are very fun. I will teach the student at his or her own pace, teach them what they want to learn, and incorporate music theory learning into the songs that the student wants to learn and finds fun. We will learn, we will play, and we will rock!! Hope to meet you soon!

What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
My lessons are very fun. I will teach the student at his or her own pace, teach them what they want to learn, and incorporate the music theory learning into the songs that the student wants to learn and finds fun. If the lesson is in the student’s home, they should have a bass, an amp, and an instrument cable. If the lesson is at my space, the student only would need to bring their bass. **Students should always have a three-ring binder with them during the lesson to store any materials I give them** We can learn anything from Bruno Mars to Metallica. We will learn, we will play, and we will rock!!
